It's been shite at the Leith Sam Siro for Restalrig Madrid, lucky at the start of the season, have fallen to bits since then, pumped off the Mighty Super J's at Accies, pumped out the Diddy cup by the Super J's, fortunate to win the 3rd round of the scottish against non league before our impressive cup run came to an end by failing to beat a first division team given 2 chances to do it, failed to beat Hearts this season, 2 wins in 13 games and looking like falling out of the European placings, really is a nightmare season for us, could be a Jambo.
You'd think with some of the comments on here about Hibs performance this season, Hearts would be romping away with the league, face facts, you's really are SHITE, struggling to make the top 6, pumped out the Scottish in the 3rd round and pumped in the diddy cup semi. We are embarassing this season and you still can't catch us, per per thinking your the big team.

I've no doubt it would still be incredibly painful if we were comprehensively outclassed and lost to two exceptional strikes, but the fact that our own ineptitude has done us more harm than our opponents with the concession of two very poor goals, with both, the second in particular, being yet another result of spectacularly poor goalkeeping, making it even harder to swallow. Also, on yet another derby day when our most important and talented players refused to show up (or in Liam Miller's case, found so many Hearts players with passes he could have been their MotM), two of Hearts' least cultured players have played a huge part in the win with the goals. All in just another pathetic derby display that shows that the vast majority of the time, we do not have the mentality to win these games, even when we seem to have the players.
I actually made a bet with a Hearts-supporting friend back in June that we would finish above them, and I have been offered my money several times since then, and refused to take it - it now seems it's in real jeopardy, unthinkable a few months back. In fact, the only time this season I've come out and had a right good laugh at the Yams was when they lost to St. Mirren in the LC semi, as I genuinely thought that their season was over, and that we were uncatchable - how horrendously wrong I might be. Again though, if we are caught, the reversal of an 18 point deficit will be almost entirely down to our incredible incompetence since mid February - I'm sure even the most die hard Jambo would find it hard to argue that there has been a huge step forward in quality since JJ took over.
I now pretty much expect Hearts to finish above us too - I think we could well get hammered by Motherwell tomorrow night, whilst I find it hard to see where Dundee Utd's motivation will come from at Tynecastle. I'm also aware that Hearts play Celtic at Tynie on Sunday whilst we play the same Dundee Utd who will be resting players ahead of the SC Final - but Hearts recent home record vs Celtic is good enough to suggest that a point is far from unattaible, whilst I just do not think Hibs have a result in us again this season, regardless of the oppostion. We are just so vulnerable to even the most basic attacking threats these days, it's frightening. It would be interesting to see if Yogi could survive 8 defeats on the bounce to end the season, that is easily the kind of hideous form that can carry on into next season. ST sales will already have taken a hit from people's last memories of being at ER this season being the JTs winning and Gary Locke etc celebrating on our patch.
But, that said, I've got mine secured for next season, so bring it on - I can take more punishment. I obviously love Hibs beyond comprehension, the one thing that confirms this beyond any doubt is the fact that I don't utterly despise them for all the pain they cause me, on a very regular basis. I never thought that we were as good as our early season form suggested, but I did think that the attributes that got us there - being tight at the back, hard to beat and able to grind out results thanks to the tight defence and our quality up front - would hold up enough for us to finish 4th at worst. I knew we would dip but I never thought we'd be this bad. I maybe should've known though.
But anyway, fuck it - Mon' the Cabbage and bring on next season - cos I cannot wait for this one to be over.
PS - I actually think that the mint strip is quite good. And it was never a penalty in a million years.

Motherwell deserved a draw to be fair, no matter how embarrassing it was lose a 4 goal lead.
Got to say it was six of one, and half a dozen of the other

yep, now i've calmed down slightly, motherwell defo deserved something out of the game and im sure as strange as this sounds a lot of hibs fans felt it was coming when there was 3 goals in it, riordan shouldnt have been taken off, he was a good out ball and would have stopped their right back bombing forward as much, smith......well part of me wants to say he shouldnt play again for hibs, he was shocking (apart from his pen save). still a point against united hopefully will do it.
ps. i've always hated brown and knox, which makes it even worse
pps. fer's marty these days?

Even at 6-2 I didn't feel safe - sounds like a ridiculous statement but it's true, as I said earlier in this thread, even the most basic attacking threat causes us so much trouble it's untrue. Also, as good as we were in the first half, Motherwell gave us an absolute doing in the second - we hardly touched the ball for the first 10 minutes of the half, yet somehow found ourselves a further two goals ahead.
The defending overall was horrendous, but I do hold Smith responsible for tonight's result - their 3rd and 4th goals were the ones that really gave them hope, the 5th made us not winning inevitable, all were his fault. To top it off, his decision that led to the penalty was awful, though credit to him for the save obviously. I've nothing against him personally, and he has looked assured in the majority of our games, but the harsh fact is that in our biggest games this season - Ross County replay, Hearts on Saturday, and tonight - he has sold the pies. Makalamby in goals for Sunday and a fir Mark Brown for next season please.
When the dust settles we just have to accept that we were involved in one of the craziest games in the history of football - Jutkievicz's incredible strike summed the whole thing up. Losing a four goal lead is both embarrassing and incredibly poor, and will forever sour the memory of the game, but I would've taken a point before it, and regardless of how sore it is to have to settle for one under these circumstances, we are still in a good position going into the weekend. Dundee Utd have nothing to play for and will surely rest a load of players ahead of the cup final - I appreciate that Rangers also have nothing to play for, but the Champions won't want to finish with a home defeat, particularly after the Old Firm loss last night. A point at Tannadice may be enough, we'll see.
Of course, if we have to settle for 5th, what's the odds Ross County win the SC and take that European place off us? I wouldn't rule it out

I just wish there had been another couple of minutes stoppage time. Hibs would definitely have managed to lose!

Fuck it mate, I'm seriously considering going to Tannadice on Sunday. Supporting Hibs is never easy, but it's unconditional for me - no matter how shite the results we've had recently are, I've seen far worse Hibs teams than this in my time. Indeed, we're guaranteed our highest league finish in four years.
